We closed the carpet store and dealt with auction houses and many private collectors. We traveled all over the United States buying and selling everything from A to Z in the antique world.
In doing so we amassed a giant database of collectors both here and abroad.
We then opened Penny Lane Antiques on Belmont Ave in the Antique row area near the old Riverview Amusement Park where we thrived for many years. We sold items to Prop Rental companies for TV and movie studios as well as wholesale and retail walk in customers. Some of our stained glass windows are still on display at Gullivers Pizza and Pub in Chicago, the Original Walkers Brothers Pancake House and several bars in the Rush St. area in Chicago.
Then our own family members got sick. We had to devote much time to care giving so the store was closed and we took care of our sick dying family. When they passed we needed to deal with their estates. After looking at estate sales companies to help us we were disappointed with what we found. Therefore, we decided to do it ourselves. That's how ABOVE AND BEYOND came to be.
We have walked in your shoes. We know how overwhelming it can be. ABOVE AND BEYOND can help get you through these trying times. Not only do you need to liquidate the contents of the home, you need to get it market ready, find a good real estate agent and a multitude of other things. We can help you solve these problems because we've been in your shoes.
